Our Take On Google’s Nexus One

These days Google seems to be making strides to take over everything, mobile phones included.  Google has its hands in everything including email, document editing, and architectural design.  What does Google’s involvement mean?  Google supplies mobile phone carriers with an operating system and other software for mobile phones.  Much like the iPhone, Googles operating system includes support for the Android market where application developers can make applications to sell.

This gives Android enabled phones the ability to be used for a broad range of applications.  Google’s newest release with Android software is called the Nexus One.  Offering email and web applications along with wifi and a 5 megapixel camera, the Nexus One promises to be a work horse in the smart phone world.  Unlike normal cell phones, phones with Android software typically have a powerhouse processor to take full advantage of the software suite. The Nexus One delivers this with a Qualcomm QSD 8250 1 GHz processor.  This makes running applications and surfing the web come even closer to a full size computer experience. The Nexus One just may be Google’s coolest toy.
