I Recommended Shower Filters To My Friends

I am very happy after installing Shower Filters in our bath rooms in the new house which we bought about a year ago.  After having seen them perform, I am noticing a distinct difference in my overall skin texture, hair and health too.  In the previous city my younger son would fall prey to allergies very easily and develop cold symptoms at the drop of a hat.  Could it be because of inhaling chlorine in the water daily?  The number of visits we would pay to our family physician every month was not less than two.

I am blessed with good skin naturally, but the Shower Filters in the bath rooms seem to have contributed to the softness of skin.  Formerly, I used to attribute it to the good weather in the new city, but now I am sure it is because of the filtered water we are getting in the bath rooms.  Not just that, there is an improvement in the overall health of the family too and my younger fellow is not as prone to allergies as he was previously.  I have started recommending them to my friends too and they too have realized the benefits of using them in their bath rooms.  The companies should feel glad that I am promoting their products quite vociferously.  I have realized that every problem has a solution, though!

Google Caffeine Is Designed to Speed Up Your Searches

Google is pretty fast wouldn’t you say.  Probably one of the fastest search engines out there today.  Google being what google is wants it to be faster.  Developers at Google have been working on a project called caffeine, an obvious allusion to giving the search engine a little supplemented boost.  Most searches come back in under a second on Google, but who wouldn’t want a little more speed.

Although most users will not notice a big difference in the speed of their searches, Google is still aiming to improve the quality of their search engine.  The changes will be mostly noticed by web developers, chronic search engine users, and power users.  The changes are completely under the hood, (Don’t worry! The Google home page is still going to look exactly the same!).  Google is focusing on faster indexing, and a more user interactive ranking system.  Google will continue to evolve in the up coming months, Google’s new caffeine project is still in beta, and yet to be implemented on a wide scale.

Health Care Debate-War of the Words Heats Up!

As an ordinary citizen watching what’s happening with the health care debate is pretty frightening. The democrats want us to believe we have “another crisis” on our hands and we must change it NOW or face catastrophic meltdown.

Only problem is most folks aren’t buying it and its starting to worry the far left that they won’t get their agenda passed. The latest effort is to demonize the insurance industry and make them the bad guys.

Another interesting turn is with the town hall meetings. For years the democrats have brought in activists like ACORN and others to gin up opposition to anything that they oppose.  Now that ordinary people are starting to lash out at representatives of government at town hall meetings they are insinuating that the insurance companies are bring these people in to cause turmoil.   Incredible! The democrats are taking lying to a new level in politics that we haven’t seen before. And the biggest let down is the media who in large parts aren’t reporting these occurrences.  It’s going to be an interesting August recess for Congress. I bet  a lot of them don’t want to go home.

Is Hydration Important for Athletes?

Hydration is an important aspect of any athletes daily regiment. Being hydrated gives the athlete the extra boost at the end of a sprint or the extra kick in their step to shoot the winning goal. Continue to hydrate before, and during the activity to stay at peak performance levels. Hydrating during an event is regularly done, but hydrating before an event is often over looked. Drinking water before an event can reduce the need to hydrate during the event and often times lead to better performance during the event.

Over seventy percent of the body is water.  Logically this can only mean that staying hydrated is one of the most important things in life. Drinking the proper amount of water is a very commonly over looked aspects of everyday life.  Often times sugary sodas or juices take the place of what should be water.  The standard recommendation for water intake is eight, 8 o.z. glasses of water a day.  Often times more water than that is needed to make up for the deficit that the majority of individuals are in due to lack of consumption the day before.

The majority of everyday ailments can be helped or cured by drinking more water.  Before taking an aspirin or ibuprofen try drinking a tall glass of water and relaxing for a few minutes. Nine times out of ten this can make the headache go away just as well as pain killers could have. Dehydration being one of the leading causes of head aches. Using natural remedies over pills and medicines will benefit the body in the long run.

Obese Spend More On Health Care-Is This A Suprise For Anyone?

Article on the NY Times today about the rise of spending on health care of obese people.  Quoted from the article : “Obesity, and with it diabetes, are the only major health problems that are getting worse in this country, and they’re getting worse rapidly,” Dr. Thomas R. Frieden, director of the C.D.C., said.”  Gee, I wonder if slurping down those cokes and Slurpee’s have anything to do with it.

The disconnect American’s have with this condition is incredible. We don’t have a national health care crisis, we have a national eating crisis. You won’t see any be  discussions on this up on Capitol Hill however. This is way to close to special interests. Don’t want to kill the Golden Goose. Instead we are going to “reform” health care.  And spend a trillion dollars doing it while running our country into debt it will never recover from.

Regarding Article in NY Times and Chlorine in Pools

There is an article in the NY Times today and swimmers and lung diseases.  They think there is a correlation from using the  chlorine in the pools.  Especially indoor pools where the air quality isn’t as good as an outdoor pool. All of this seems to be  something a lot of people have known for a long time.  With our kids and our bath water! The amount of chlorine in our home water supply was tested and equaled or exceeded the amount used in a pool. Then the water is heated to over a 100 degrees.  Made a lot of sense to get a shower filter.  They need to use different ways other than chlorine to disinfect pools. At least with your home you can add filters.

You’ll find no hieroglyphic maps to decipher, no complicated mathematical formulas to absorb, no dismissal of your ability to attain top ranking on competitive phrases like I’ve seen elsewhere.

Just a plan for what works, constantly updated with test results, and a plan with plenty of support. You don’t need to go it alone anymore.

As my clients can tell you, it’s a plan that works for any market place (the search engines don’t have different rules for “golf gifts” versus “pet products”)

Do Countertop Water Filters Take Out Chlorine?

Do countertop water filters take out chlorine? Most of us know that chlorine is really bad for us,but how many of us know how much is in our tap water out of our kitchen?

Chlorine is used in most municipal water supplies because it is a cheap disinfectant and kills most bacteria. The problem is how much are we still getting our of our tap.  You see if they took out all of the chlorine at the city filtration station, then the water would go through all of the cities water pipes and then into our home. Plenty of places to sit and pick up nasty bacteria.

So what do they do? They leave chlorine in the water. How much? We did a test. We went and got a pool test kit from Lowe’s. They cost around $8.00. This kit tests both the chlorine and pH of pool water. We took the kit home and ran the tap water for a few minutes and took a sample. Boy were we suprised! The level of chlorine in our tap water exceeded what would be on the “high end” of the test for chlorine in the pool. In other words we were drinking pool water. Yuk!  We went online and ordered a water filter from Better Water Store and did the test once we got it hooked up. No chlorine!

Is An Alkaline Diet The Way to Go?

A lot has been discussed lately about alkaline diets. Several books out about pH balance. Well I have to tell you I’ve tried it and it works. I did this in a couple of different areas.

The first thing I did was get an alkaline water ionizer. I did a lot of research on this and found out facts like 70% of our bodies are water! Makes sense to keep it alkaline.

Then I got a food chart and found out which foods are acid and which foods are alkaline. Then I started slowing replacing any many of the acid foods with alkaline and drinking plenty of alkaline antioxidant water.

It didn’t take very long for me to lose over 40 lbs!  I’d say I lost about 2 lbs a week. I also exercised some. I gotta tell you I fell great. I would highly recommend this route for anyone interested in good health and losing weight.
