School Water Across the US Contains Toxins
According to an article that appeared in USA Today, many schools across the nation are reporting unsafe levels of lead, pesticides and other toxins. Mostly schools with wells. Reportedly some schools in California are so tainted that students are bringing bottled water.
Toxins in water are especially dangerous for children who are more vulnerable. According to a AP study, one in every five schools with its own water supply violated the Safe Drinking Water Act in the past Decade.
California led the states in violations followed by Ohio,Manie, Connecticut and Indiana.
“In California,the Department of Public Health has given out more than $4 million in recent years to help districts overhaul their water systems”
