The Apple iPad

Is Apple’s newest addition, the iPad, just a large version of the popular iTouch?  While looking at the features of the new iPad its pretty easy to assume it is just a iTouch for people with big hands. There are however a few key features that make it different if not superior to the current iTouch. Other than the most obvious, the larger size, the iPad breaks the mold with its newest innovation, iBooks.  Almost in direct competition with Amazon’s Kindle, iBooks is a store and application combination that allows users to purchase and read books from a single platform using Wifi or the 3G network.  Organizing the books in true Apple fashion, on a visual book shelf with multi-touch based organization.  In addition to the online store money maker for apple, the iPad also has the ability to access the 3G network, that is, if you want to pay an extra 229 dollars for that feature.  Apple, although basing the majority of the iPad on the iTouch, also adds a few innovative features to the iPad. Apples iBooks might do to books, what iTunes did for music.
