Twitter’s Founder Revolutionizes Credit Card Processing
Portable credit card machines have a tendency of being bulky and slow processing. Often times requiring a deal with a certain bank to even obtain one. Jack Dorsey the founder of Twitter has come up with a solution to that, with of course, an iPhone app. With a nifty piece of hardware that fits into the headphone jack of iPhones and iTouches. The invention being coined as the Square system, requires the user to plug in a square into the standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, and have the application downloaded onto the iPhone. This allows users to charge credit cards just about anywhere. The iPhones touch screen can also be used for signing the receipt which can be sent to the user from the iPhone virtually eliminating the use of paper receipts. Mobile businesses, avid Craigslist sellers, and street venders all are in a great position to take advantage of an otherwise untapped credit card market, with transactions requiring cash and check before. The money is instantly there, no checks to bounce and no worries for the vendors.
